Wonders of Yoga & Meditation Retreat will Include:
• 6 night's accommodation in luxurious, double-occupancy rooms or cabins.
• Three delicious meals a day prepared using local tropical fruits, vegetables
and freshly caught fish (juices and snacks available at all times).
• Internal flights (round trip) from San Jose to Golfito or Puerto Jimenez and back.
• Boat pick up and drop off from town arrival/departure (Golfito / Puerto Jiménez).
• Yoga & Wellness Activities :
• 2 yoga classes/day.
• 1h15 moderate flow in morning.
• 1h15 gentle flow in evening.
Class emphases on breath and awareness of the Energy Body while
moving slowly into basic Hatha yoga poses, and gentle stretches,
improving strength, flexibility and balance.
• Energetic stretches from the Masunaga's Zen shiatsu tradition are
also blended into the flow.
• Christel's classes provide a deep state of relaxation, connection,
and deepened awareness.
• Also included:
• Mindful walks, yoga and sitting meditation in jungle
• 1 workshop Sound and Meditation (mostly chanting) 1hr1/2
• 1 workshop Moving into Stillness (mostly dancing) 1hr1/2
• We will also allow some time for sharing and writing.
• Bring comfortable, light yoga wear and a journal.
• Every day take part in Adventure tours led by Nicuesa Lodge Guides; including:
• A variety of Rainforest hikes on the lodges private preserve and the adjacent
national park. Experience and learn about the magic of the tropical rainforest,
the abundant wildlife and flora and fauna on a variety of hikes including
a unique one to a pristine waterfall.
• Kayaking and Snorkeling Adventures in the beautiful blue green 80 degree waters
of the pristine Golfo Dulce Coast.
• Self Guided activities include:
• Unlimited use of kayaks, snorkeling and fishing equipment.
• Unlimited access to self guided walks on lodge preserve trails.
• Access to a tropical beach for ultimate relaxation between classes.
• Extras Available:
• On-site massage.
• Extensive boat and day trips: horseback riding, dolphin watching, jungle
river tours, fishing, visits to nearby botanical gardens and wildlife sanctuary.

Yoga Instructors Bio: Christel Pierron
Originally from France, then Montreal, Christel Pierron is a dancer, a certified massage therapist (Esalen, Reiki, Reflexology) and a certified yoga teacher, as well as a Yoga Meets Dance instructor. Christel has been studying several forms of yoga over the years such as Sivananda, Kripalu, Iyengar and Kundalini Yoga (in the Yogi Bhajan tradition). She concentrated her study in “Zen Yoga / Yoga Energetique” during 6 years and received teacher training in Montreal with her late master Benie Deswarte (inspired with the Master Masunaga’s Zen shiatsu tradition) in 2003. Christel now lives in Cape Cod, Ma where she offers massage, practices Soto Zen meditation, and teaches yoga, creative movement, chanting meditation classes and various workshops to children and adults. At Nicuesa, she will guide you in the powerful experience of the present moment, riding the wave of the breath, and connecting with the energy body, moving slowly into mindful stretches, traditional Hatha Yoga poses, and meditation.
